Motorcyclist, 23, Seriously Injured After Crashing Into Sussex County Embankment: State Police

A 23-year-old man was seriously injured after his motorcycle veered off the highway and into an embankment over the weekend, state police said.

The Passaic man was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Route 23 when it ran off the right, overturned, and hit an embankment near milepost 49.1 in Montague around 6 p.m. Saturday, August 26, NJSP SFC Philip Curry told Daily Voice.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries, Curry added.

The crash remains under investigation. No further details were released.
